Welcome to the RedState Weekly Briefing  — where we take a quick look at the week’s most viewed stories in case you missed any of them. Grab a cup of coffee (or something stronger as we stumble into Fall), and sit down with this 21st Century Weekend Edition of your favorite (online) publication!

#1 – EPIC: Entrepreneur Humiliates FBI When They Come to Intimidate Him—’Can See the Shame on Their Faces’  — by Bob Hoge

The video shows two supposed FBI agents approaching Kauffman’s house and asking for him, yet when he demands to know their full names and see their credentials, they clam up. If you were on a legitimate investigation, wouldn’t you pull out your ID, state your name fully, and explain exactly the reasons why you were there—“We are here to talk to you about the threatening statements you made against so-and-so,” for example?

But they didn’t. Instead, the agents—who, as my friend and colleague Jim Thompson noted, “Why do FBI agents now look and dress like bros who just got off work at the Costco?”—hemmed and hawed and deflected and just generally seemed dishonest.

#2 – NEW: Kamala Shows Just How Unfit She Is in PA, As Trump Supporters Come Out to Greet Her — by Nick Arama

But the funniest thing was when a reporter managed to slip in a question, The response was something else. She was asked how she was feeling about the race in Pennsylvania. She said she was feeling good because there are…people in Pennsylvania:

“I am feeling very good about Pennsylvania because there are a lot of… people in Pennsylvania who… deserve to be seen and heard. That’s why I’m here in Johnstown.”

#3 – CNN’s Michael Eric Dyson Has a Complete and Total Meltdown After Nancy Mace Publishes His Raunchy Texts — by Bonchie

For context, Dyson is currently married. I’m sure his wife, who I believe is his third one, will get a kick out of his texting habits. The dude is a total creep. Who texts another woman like that even when they are single, much less when they are married?

Mace’s point wasn’t so much his inappropriate behavior though as it was how fake these people are. Dyson had just suggested the congresswoman was a racist live on CNN and then went right to begging her for pictures and hitting on her. It’s all an act, which makes his response not at all surprising, though not any less psychotic.

Dyson put out a post on social media calling Mace a liar, racist, and bigot. You know, how any normal person would respond. He then ranted on Instagram for seven minutes over the ordeal.

#4 – CA Gov. Newsom Signs Ban Against Political Deepfakes; Elon Musk Mercilessly Trolls Him With… Deepfakes — by Bob Hoge

But what perhaps the elegantly coiffed governor failed to take into consideration was that Musk is kind of like a hornet’s nest: poke him, and he’ll come back at you like a swarm. He masterfully mocked the failed guv with several tweets, including one Tuesday where he retweeted the original fake Kamala ad (which currently has 55 million views) that so upset Gov. Grumpy:

#5 – The Background on the Alleged Suspect in New Trump Assassination Attempt Is Something Else — by Nick Arama

Routh allegedly has also made small donations to Democrats through ActBlue. He purportedly made 19 donations since 2019, including for individual 2020 Democratic presidential primary candidates including former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX), Andrew Yang, Tom Steyer, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). He has not donated to Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

According to what people have seen of what is believed to be his X account, he was a huge supporter of Ukraine and he’s also made a lot of bizarre posts, like this one to Elon Musk.

“I would like to buy a rocket from you. I wish to load it with a warhead for Putin’s Black Sea mansion bunker to end him. Can you give me a price please. It can be old and used as not returning,” Routh wrote
