The Cincinnati Reds hired former Houston Astros manager Brad Mills as bench coach under manager Terry Francona, the team announced Tuesday. Mills also served as Francona’s bench coach in Boston and Cleveland.

The team also announced the hiring of three others — Alex Peláez and Will Remillard as assistant hitting coaches and James Keller as bullpen catcher.

A former teammate of Francona’s with the Montreal Expos, Mills managed the Astros from 2010 to 2012. He was also on Francona’s staff with the Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox. Mills also served as Frank Robinson’s bench coach in Montreal in 2003.

Peláez was the hitting coach at Triple-A Louisville for the last four seasons.
