For those Ohioans wanting to purchase recreational marijuana, the wait is finally over: starting Tuesday, you can buy weed for recreational use across Ohio.

After Ohioans voted to legalize marijuana for adults 21 and older last November, the Division of Cannabis Control said Monday that it awarded 98 dual-use certificates of operation to medical cannabis dispensaries entering the adult-use market.

A certificate of operation doesn’t mean sales will immediately begin at that location. State officials noted that decision is up to individual businesses and depends on staffing and stock.

Recreational sales will start throughout the state on a rolling basis, with businesses receiving certification as they meet DCC requirements, division spokesman Jamie Crawford told the Beacon Journal in June.
