As RedState previously reported, Democrats are seriously not coping well with Tuesday’s big losses, especially Donald Trump’s crushing defeat of Kamala Harris, which saw him not only win more electoral votes than he needed but the popular vote as well.

Beyond the bizarre TikTok videos featuring shrieking, head-shaving so-called feminists warning of imminent doom after Trump’s win, there has been the intraparty civil war among Democrats, which has now spilled out into the open for all the country to see – giving what to many will be their first eye-opening glimpse at the raging leftist fever swamps we’ve tried to warn them about for many years.

It would seem that Democrat National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison is having some difficulty coping as well, considering the baseless conspiracy theories he’s now amplifying about the results from North Carolina’s elections:

The Twitter account the failed 2020 South Carolina Senate nominee retweeted has close to 800,000 followers, and as of this writing, the tweet has 14,000 retweets and counting, along with a lot of comments from people saying in so many words that something is fishy here.

Well, no, it’s not.

First things first, as others pointed out, the Old North State did not “go blue across the board” in every race but the presidential race:

We reported Wednesday on some other notable GOP victories from Tuesday’s election here in North Carolina. Republicans won the state auditor race, the state treasurer race, the commissioner of agriculture race, the commissioner of insurance race, and the commissioner of labor race.

Further, Republicans appear to have retained (and possibly expanded) their supermajority in the state senate and are still firmly in control of the state house, though pending a couple of possible recounts they may be one seat short of a supermajority in that chamber:

To put an even finer point on it, North Carolina is known for being a “split ticket” type of state as it was in 2020, for instance, when it reelected Gov. Roy Cooper (D) but elected Republican Mark Robinson as Lt. Governor. In 2016, when Cooper defeated Republican Gov. Pat McCrory, Republican Dan Forest was reelected as Lt. Governor.

It’s just what happens here, and being a “swing state” has a lot to do with that, I think.

To be sure, there’s nothing wrong with questioning election results and believing something nefarious may be at play. But in this case, Harrison has absolutely no evidence of this and frankly should know better considering his position and also the fact that North Carolina is a neighboring state and how much interaction there is between the official party apparatuses in both states.

That said, I was once reliably told that an unwillingness to accept the results of an election was the equivalent of wanting to stoke an insurrection or something so I’m sure the condemnations from the Biden-Harris White House and the mainstream media will be forthcoming. Yep. Any minute now.
