RE/MAX Australia’s growth trajectory is continuing into the new year, with the network this month welcoming its newest broker, Sam Kathir, launching RE/MAX Right Home in Brisbane’s South.

With a strong business background, having operated a successful property management business in Auckland, New Zealand for the past six years, Sam Kathir combines his business acumen, real estate eye and expertise as a building surveyor to bring a unique blend of technical expertise and customer service to the South-East Queensland property market.

Based in Browns Plains, in Brisbane’s South, RE/MAX Right Home specialises in both sales and property management, providing an in-depth level of service to clients, not only through the eyes of a real estate professional but with the knowledge and forethought of a building surveyor’s perspective.

Passionate about helping his clients achieve their best outcome, Mr Kathir believes that honest communication and confidence in expertise are the pillars to success.

“Ensuring my clients have a clear understanding of not only the process of a tenancy, or the sale of a property, but also in understanding more specifically the quality of the property, the building itself, is important in the business of real estate,” Mr Kathir said.

“I look at each property specifically, and what it needs to be successful, whether through appropriate ongoing management or as part of the sale process.”

A qualified engineer and with over 24 years of experience as a business owner, Mr Kathir’s move into property came while studying a diploma of building surveying, which led him to explore a niche opportunity in connecting with landlords to ensure their properties received the practical care and consideration needed to ensure a successful investment future.

His unique blend of skills has proved beneficial for his clients past, current and future, recognising efficient management of not only the tenancy, but the property itself.

“Real estate is about both the people and the property, and I’m dedicated to ensuring that both receive the attention and support that they need,” Mr Kathir said.

“Buildings are the basis and people are at the core of real estate, and having a professional that is rich in the knowledge with expertise and passion to succeed is vital in today’s market.

“Working closely with my clients and with my community has always been valuable and rewarding, both as a business owner and also as a member of the community,” Mr Kathir said.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to build with the community and to developing strong relationships built on trust and expertise.”

Mr Kathir shared that the decision to align with RE/MAX came down to flexibility in structure, client-orientated focus, and support as a broker.

RE/MAX Australia Managing Director Joel Davoren welcomed Mr Kathir to the network, with the opening of RE/MAX Right Home in Browns Plains.

“Sam brings a wealth of knowledge as a business owner, and his experience in property management and knowledge of the building space place him in a great position to grow his business,” Mr Davoren said.

“We welcome Sam and the opportunity to expand the network’s reach to Brisbane’s South, and we look forward to supporting the growth of RE/MAX Right Home into the future.”
