One of the big questions about Joe Biden’s dropping out of the presidential race is why Biden did not make the statement personally and why there wasn’t even a picture of him signing the letter.
That caused a lot of speculation and questions about Biden’s health. Fox’s Dana Perino thought that the American people were owed “proof of life” — not to just be given a letter on X, but a real explanation and the reason why he was stepping aside. We still haven’t been given an official reason.
Biden hasn’t been seen since Wednesday, when he left an event in Las Vegas to fly back to Delaware after they announced he had COVID. He even had difficulty just getting into a car that evening.
Meanwhile, his brother Frank said Joe’s health was a factor, and then a source supposedly close to the family threw Frank under the bus and claimed you couldn’t trust what Frank said because of alcoholism. Yikes. Talk about drama. Remember: This is the “We’re bringing decency back” brigade.

We still don’t have an “in-person” in real-time view. But now we can hear what appears to be Joe Biden calling into the Wilmington, Delaware, campaign headquarters on this video. He said if he didn’t have COVID, he would be there with them, speaking to campaign official Julie Chavez Rodriguez.
Biden says, “I know yesterday’s news was surprising…but it was the right thing to do.”
He doesn’t say what that “news” is but he does later acknowledge that he “won’t be on the ticket.” He says he will still be around trying to help her and encourages them to give “every bit of your heart and soul” to Kamala. He claimed former President Donald Trump was “still a danger to the community, to the nation.”
He didn’t have as much slurring and hesitancy as normal, and his voice seemed stronger than it has recently. But he had some of his common themes and filler words. He did sound a bit nasally at points.
People still had some doubts, especially when they heard this from Harris, “Joe, I know you’re still on the ri..on the call.” It’s not clear what she was saying there. But this is so cringe. She said they’d been talking every day.

“We love Joe and Jill,” Kamala simpers. Biden says, “It’s mutual…I’m watching you, kid!”
Then there was a “Cackle-arama”:

Even though there was a doctor’s report that he was recovering, he’s still supposed to remain in Delaware for at least another couple of days. So, we still may not get a visual for a bit.
