Pope Francis calls for a stop to wars, prays for Spain flood victims

During his Sunday Angelus prayer, Pope Francis called for all wars to be “banished” and conflicts “to be addressed with law and negotiations.” The Pontiff also appealed for special prayers for victims of the flash floods in Spain that claimed at least 217 lives, with 213 of them in the eastern Valencia region.
