If you ever wanted solid proof that leftist hack-machines like Politico are, in fact, arms of the Democrat Party, look no further than their reporting of Joe Biden slandering Donald Trump supporters as “garbage.”
While the rest of the world heard exactly what Biden said, Politico’s Jonathan Lemire, who’s also a regular on MSNBC, deliberately misled readers into thinking the president said “the only garbage” was the “hatred” displayed by Trump supporters.
As RedState’s Sister Toldjah reported Tuesday night, it’s all on video; there’s no question at all what Biden said and who he was saying it about. This is precisely what Biden said:
“Donald Trump has no character. He doesn’t give a damn about the Latino community…just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage?…The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”
And here’s what Politico and its “journalist” Jonathan Lemire reported he said:
President Joe Biden rallied Latino voters Tuesday night and delivered a stinging rebuke of the racist rhetoric aimed at Puerto Rico during Donald Trump’s weekend rally.
A comedian who appeared ahead of Trump at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday called the American territory an “island of garbage.” Biden, in a Zoom call with the organization Voto Latino, said “the only garbage” was the “hatred” of Trump supporters who said such things about American citizens.
A White House spokesperson said Biden was talking about the intolerance of Tony Hinchcliffe, the comedian who made the joke.
“Our diversity is our strength,” said Biden, who also blasted Trump’s proposal to deport migrants, many of whom are Latino.
Biden took part in the call to urge Latino voters to cast their ballots early.
The order of events is important here to fully understand the extent to which Politico went to run interference for the White House and prop up Democrats. Joe Biden participated in a Hispanic outreach Zoom call with the group Voto Latino; this call went from 6:30p-7:30p ET. Reporters on the call, including NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez, began tweeting out excerpts of Biden’s comments. It sure seemed like Biden had just grossly insulted half of America’s voters.
At the same time, Kamala Harris was giving her “closing arguments” speech in the Ellipse outside the White House. This was supposed to be the thing to capture the news cycle over the next twenty-four hours and propel Kamala over the finish line, thus Politico’s decision to downplay what Biden was saying on the Voto Latino call.
Then the video came out, showing Joe Biden, in all his glory, quite clearly slandering Donald Trump’s supporters and exposing the partisan hackery of Jonathan Lemire and Politico.
Just in case Politico tries to stealth edit their media malpractice, we caught it as written by Lemire.

Even after being called out by literally everyone, Lemire doubled down and insisted that people didn’t hear what they definitely heard:

And now, in an attempt to clean up his mess, Joe Biden aligns himself with Politico and also insists that people didn’t hear what they definitely heard:
Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The…

The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.
JD Vance is going on Joe Rogan’s podcast tomorrow. Expect this to be a big topic of conversation and the dominant story over the next few days as Democrats wet the bed over Joe Biden and the media does their darnedest to clean up after him.
