EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — It’s eyes on the skies at MetLife Stadium.
For the second straight week ahead of a New York Giants home game, a plane circled the stadium with a banner offering a message to the franchise’s co-owner John Mara.
This week’s read: “MR MARA ENOUGH — WE WON’T STOP UNTIL YOU FIRE EVERYONE”

Last week, the message read: “Mr. Mara enough — plz fix this dumpster fire.” That banner circled the stadium ahead of the Giants’ 14-11 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
The Giants are currently on an eight game losing streak, sitting at 2-11 overall and 0-7 at home. The pressure is mounting on GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll. Last week, most players polled were unaware of the plane that flew over ahead of the game.
“I’d say look, we’ve won two games, so I’m not happy, either,” Daboll said last week when asked about the aerial display.
This Sunday, some players and coaches were on the field for pregame warmups. Schoen was on the field at one point not long after the plane made its rounds.
The last two weeks have drawn a parallel to 1978 when fans rented an airplane to fly over Giants Stadium during a game with a banner that read, “15 years of lousy football — we’ve had enough.” The Giants were in the midst of a 17-year playoff drought. Meanwhile, the Giants have only gone two years without a postseason appearance but since that Divisional Round loss to rival Philadelphia Eagles, the team has gone 8-22.
After Sunday’s matchup, there is just one more home game – a Week 17 matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts.
