Peter Doocy, the Fox News reporter whose line of questioning has often angered President Joe Biden, said he’ll miss the outgoing commander in chief.

“Yes. I really will,” Doocy said at the Democratic National Convention when asked by New York Magazine’s Intelligencer. “I don’t think it took long for them to know exactly what to expect from me. They knew I was always going to ask him something hard and he continued to engage for years after that and his team did, too … and so yes, I will miss him.”

Biden would perhaps have less polite terminology for Doocy.

As Biden’s reelection campaign faced scrutiny in February amid concerns over his mental acuity, the reporter asked him, “How bad is your memory, and can you continue as president?”

“My memory is so bad [that] I let you speak,” Biden sniped.

Looking back, Doocy told Intelligencer, “I thought he had a quick-witted response to me, but ultimately that was the beginning of the end.”

Months later, Biden withdrew from the White House race following a disastrous debate against GOP rival Donald Trump.

But Biden and Doocy will always have their memorable tension. Exchanges between the two have been both comical and downright confrontational. And Biden still has several more months in office for other possible dustups.

Regardless, maybe there’s hope for a Christmas card exchange between those two in the future, even if Biden once called Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” on a hot mic.

As for the reporter’s relationship with White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, however, that might be another story.
