Firefighters continued to battle the “extreme” Park Fire burning in California’s Butte and Tehama Counties in late July.

Video released by CALFIRE on July 27 shows firefighters working to battle the fire near Paynes Creek.

“The following footage shows the Park Fire as it continues to show extreme fire behavior, destroying buildings and prompting evacuation orders for thousands of people. Firefighting personnel continue to face challenging conditions as they work tirelessly to contain the ongoing blaze,” CALFIRE said.

Fire officials said 3,722 personnel were working to control the fire, which had spread to 350,012 acres and was 12% contained as of Sunday, July 28.
