Nottingham Forest captain Joe Worrall is set to undergo a medical before joining Besiktas on loan.

The 27-year-old centre-back was spotted in Turkey at Besiktas’ Super Lig game against Trabzonspor on Sunday. All terms have been sorted between both Forest and Besiktas over the move.

Worrall has found game time hard to come by this season, being limited to just nine appearances in all competitions.

The Englishman, who signed a new three-year deal last summer, found himself out of the first-team picture earlier in the season following a disagreement with former Forest manager Steve Cooper.

After Cooper’s dismissal in December, Worrall appeared in Forest’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle United on Boxing Day but has not featured for the side in the Premier League since.

He was absent from the Forest squad for their 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League.
