A barrage of rockets launched from Lebanon caused damage and sparked fires in northern Israel on Wednesday, September 4, Israeli outlets and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported.

The IDF said it intercepted some of the approximately 65 launches, and that some fell in open areas, sparking fires.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching several rockets in northern Israel on Wednesday.

At least one home was directly hit in Kiryat Shmona, the Times of Israel reported, citing local authorities. No injuries were reported in the barrage, the outlet said.
