Norman Reedus, acclaimed for his portrayal of the crossbow-toting, motorcycle-riding hero with a compassionate core in The Walking Dead, is bidding farewell to his Georgia residence.

Situated on the outskirts of Atlanta, the actor has decided to sell his home after an eight-year period of ownership.

Initially placed on the rental market at a monthly rate of US$12,500, the property now seeks a new owner, with a price tag of US$3.8 million, according to the Robb Report.

Acquired in the autumn of 2015 for close to US$3 million, the house is a modern masterpiece set within the Chattahoochee Hills, a testament to the design prowess of New York City-based Shamir Shah.

Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, the home is a marvel of modern architecture, boasting simplicity and luxury.

The listing agent, Addie Bartlett of Compass, describes the property as offering an “unparalleled experience of refined living”.

Covering more than 380sq m, the property is nestled within a heavily wooded area, part of the Serenbe community, roughly 30 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.

It features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, multi-level living spaces adorned with wide-plank white oak floors, high ceilings, and expansive windows.

The home includes a spacious living room, a cozy sitting room with a fireplace, a dining room, and a gourmet kitchen equipped with high-end appliances and natural quartzite countertops.

The primary suite, located upstairs, includes a large walk-in closet, a marble bathroom with dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a glass-encased shower.

Additional facilities include an office space, a lower-level bedroom, a gym, and a dining/entertainment area with a wet bar.

The outdoor area boasts a creek, an al fresco dining area with a grilling station, and a plunge pool.

Reedus, who gained fame as Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead and appeared in The Boondock Saints, also owns several properties in New York City alongside actress Diane Kruger.
