No, Biden's Not Stuttering—but Could His Bizarre Speech Pattern Be Something Known As 'Cluttering?'

I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. However, when you see a bloody person screaming on the ground with their limb bent at an awkward angle, you don’t need an MD to tell you that the person is injured.

Similarly, I don’t need White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, former President Barack Obama, or Biden’s campaign staff interpreting things for me when I can see them quite clearly by myself. Their latest gambit: when Biden “freezes,” as he is wont to do as of late, what you’re seeing isn’t actually reality—it’s a “cheap fake.”

We see enough Biden statements, speeches, and utterances, however, to know that it doesn’t matter if you slow down the video or crop out important parts—what they have suddenly decided to term “cheap faking”—we know what we’re seeing, and that’s a dazed looking man who often does not seem to be aware of where he is.

But let’s say you buy into their narrative; the videos can be deceptive, stipulated—but that does nothing to explain the other main component when we’re talking about the decline of President Joe Biden, namely, his slurred words and inability to form coherent sentences. That is not the result of camera trickery or misleading edits; that’s Ole Joe speaking for himself, and it ain’t pretty.

The Biden team will tell you that the president has had a stuttering issue since he was a youth, and it still affects him, and you are a hating evil White Supremacist jerk for mentioning that he spouts gobbledygook more often than not. But what we are seeing day after day is not what most of us consider stuttering, it’s slurring, and there’s a difference. Stuttering is known by most people as tripping over a single word and not being able to get to the rest of the sentence, ie, “ I remember when I was young, and I… I…I…”

  • Merriam Webster: Stuttering
  • : a disorder of vocal communication marked by involuntary disruption or blocking of speech (as by abnormal repetition, prolongation, or stoppage of vocal sounds) :

That is not at all what we’re seeing from Biden; rather, we’re hearing him blur a number of words into one incomprehensible phrase. I would argue that it’s something medical literature calls “cluttering.”

Stuttering is a disruption in the fluency of verbal expression characterized by involuntary, audible or silent, repetitions or prolongations of sounds or syllables. These are not readily controllable and may be accompanied by other movements and by emotions of negative nature such as fear, embarrassment, or irritation (Wingate 1964).

What is cluttering?

Cluttering is a disorder of both speech and language processing that frequently results in rapid, dysrhythmic, sporadic, unorganized, and often unintelligible speech (Daly, 1993).

Sound familiar?

I’m sure some MSNBC host would explain that my theory is way off, mostly because Biden is so incredibly sharp behind closed doors, according to them—but when I hear him speak, it sure sounds like “cluttering” to me.

The bottom line is that the left can babble on all day about “cheap fakes,” but we’re seeing—and hearing—Biden’s decline right in front of our eyes and ears. Take any raw, unedited video or audio of Biden lately, and you don’t need to alter it to see that he is severely compromised. In fact, I would argue that the most egregious “cheap fakes” occur during those rare times when he appears for an interview with a friendly network news outlet—they edit the hell out of it, and you can easily tell that they left plenty of it on the cutting room floor.

I don’t relish in Biden’s speech impediment, his robotic gait, or his apparent confusion, but to tell us we’re not seeing it is the height of gaslighting. Their effort to convince you that the entire narrative is “fake” is not convincing, and few are buying it.
