Just hours after Nissan held its 10 March 2025 board meeting to discuss the future of Chief Executive Makoto Uchida—and his potential successor—the automaker has announced he is stepping down. Taking his place is former Chief Planning Officer Ivan Espinosa, marking the fourth change in the company’s top leadership role in six years.
