Nissan demonstrated its latest self-driving technology in Yokohama, marking the country’s first driverless vehicle test. By Stewart Burnett

Japanese automaker Nissan showcased its latest autonomous driving technology in Yokohama, Japan on 10 March 2025. The development marks a first for the country, which has never previously seen a driverless test vehicle navigate a complex urban environment; Nissan plans to later deploy an autonomous mobility service in the country.
