At what point is enough enough for Democrats?
They’ve clearly shown they have no conscience, and they’ll do anything to win, even putting up and keeping a man in office who has the problems that Joe Biden has. They shouldn’t even be talking about him stepping aside — that should be a given. They should be talking about the 25th Amendment.
But they don’t want to do that and they only are considering him stepping aside because they’re afraid they’re going to lose and then they’ll be out of control. It has nothing to do with doing what’s right here. They’re just trying to run the percentages at this point — is it better to force him out, or are they in more trouble if they do it?
But now there’s a new report from Axios that indicates that things are even worse than has been reported so far.
According to the report, staffers are miserable, and they feel like it’s “Weekend at Bernie’s” when it comes to Biden.
The big picture: “Everyone is miserable, and senior advisers are a total black hole,” a White House official told Axios. “Even if you’re trying to focus on work, nothing is going to break through or get any acknowledgment” from bosses.
- A high-ranking Democratic National Committee official told Axios: “The only thing that can really allay concerns is for the president to demonstrate that he’s capable of running this campaign.”
- “Everything else feels like ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ by his inner circle to prop him up.”
Biden staffers are leaking that there are three aides who’ve created something of a bubble around Biden. The aides mentioned are Deputy Chief of Staff Annie Tomasini, the first lady’s top adviser Anthony Bernal, and longtime aide Ashley Williams, who is part of Tomasini’s staff.
- Those close aides have many duties. But officials recall instances of them helping Biden make up for mental lapses, including prompting him to remember people he has known for a long time.
- Such moments could be dismissed as normal lapses. But many Biden aides now wonder whether they were signs of something deeper.
- One former Biden aide told Axios: “Annie, Ashley and Anthony create a protective bubble around POTUS. He’s staffed so closely that he’s lost all independence. POTUS relies on staff to nudge him with reminders of who he’s meeting, including former staffers and advisers who Biden should easily remember without a reminder from Annie.”
White House spokesperson Andrew Bates disputed the report. He claimed that these were “standard processes” and that claims about the aides were “inaccurate.” Yeah, I don’t think so.
I wrote previously about what Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) said.
We have a great team of people that will help govern,” said Representative Ro Khanna, Democrat of California and an official Biden surrogate responsible for reaching out to young voters. “That is what I’m going to continue to make the case for.”
When asked if he could vouch for the president, Mr. Khanna only said, “I can vouch for our policies.”
This, of course, is not how things are supposed to work. Unelected bureaucrats aren’t supposed to be running the government. The folks who keep telling you they want to “protect democracy” now want people to think that this is good when it so violates the nature of our constitutional republic?
On top of that, we’ve written about the issues of Bernal in the past, the man reportedly referred to as Jill Biden’s “work husband” who supposedly has so much power. He’s had allegations of harassment made against him, but the administration dismissed the complaints, claiming there was nothing to them. How reassuring to know that he has such power now.
This is where the Democrats have left us. Even if they swap Joe out for someone else, how could anyone trust Democrats again after they did this? All the Democrats involved who provided cover for Biden, including Kamala Harris, should be rejected.
