We write about illegal immigration plenty here at RedState, and how the Biden-Harris regime has laid a virtual welcome mat at our southern border. But there is also legal migration, and Fox News reports Tuesday that new stats from the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reveal that nearly 530,000 migrants flew into the U.S. and were paroled into the country as part of Biden’s controversial mass parole program. They’re coming from Haiti, Nicaragua, Cuba, and Venezuela.

Fox’s Bill Melugin reports:

These are “lawful pathways” created by the Biden administration, and these numbers do not count in Border Patrol data, as they are not illegal crossings. Most of the migrants taking part in these programs are paroled into the U.S. on two year humanitarian parole grants, which also allow them to apply to work.

In addition, there are around 813,000 more migrants who have appointments made through the CBP One app. “Most of the migrants taking part in these programs are paroled into the U.S. on two year humanitarian parole grants, which also allow them to apply to work,” Melugin writes.

As RedState’s Nick Arama reported, Biden’s program allows these migrants to fly into the U.S.:

… the Center for Immigration Studies found Biden’s CBP approved the latest secretive flights that transported hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants from foreign countries into at least 43 different American airports from January through December 2023.

The program was part of Biden’s expansion of the CBP One app, which kicked off at the start of last year.

Migrants were able, under Biden’s expansion, to apply for asylum using the app from their home countries.

Here’s the problem:

Every single ICE source/contact I’ve spoken with has told me the same thing – they do not have the manpower or resources to find and deport such a large population of people if they overstay these 2 year grants. As it stands now, ICE’s non-detained docket is on track to hit 8 million by the end of the year, and each ICE officer currently manages an average of 7,000 cases. [Bolding mine.]

DHS simply doesn’t have the manpower to keep up with the flow:

The agency is already tasked with tracking down and removing those with final orders of removal, aggravated felons, gotaways, etc. They physically do not have the bodies to track and remove this additional population – and there has been no government agency monitoring parole expiration, according to a recent DHS Inspector General report.

In the end, whether through legal migration or illegal immigration, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are getting what they want: more voters who they think will vote Democrat. It’s a disgrace.

Melugin:

The bottom line – the more than 1 million migrants the Biden admin has allowed into the U.S. via these programs are here to stay – even if they fall out of status and become unlawfully in the U.S.
