First it was CNN defending the lack of masculinity at the DNC, and now MSNBC felt compelled to make excuses for why traditional masculinity was noticeably absent from the festivities.

During night four of the DNC, Joy Reid took a moment to praise “21st century masculinity,” which is just another way of saying “little to no masculinity,” and used Tim Walz as an example.

Reid noted that Walz being a coach and joining with the LGBT activists is going to push “the message” to men, and it’s going to stop bullying.

“I mean, what’s really been fascinating is to watch the men of the Democratic Party model a kind of masculinity that is simply 21st century masculinity,” said Reid.

On Thursday, CNN was also forced to address the lack of masculinity in the room,

“They are doing so in trying to put forward male figures — Tim Walz being one of them, Doug Emhoff last night, who can speak to men out there who might not be the sort of testosterone-laden… ya know, gun-toting kind of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan, and the kind of players that came out of the RNC,” said Bash.

The funny part about all of this is that the news organizations felt the need to address the elephant in the room. The simple fact is that a lack of masculine men in the crowd and up on stage is not a good look, which is forcing them to try to sell the “masculinity” they’re putting up as something fresh, new, and righteous. They don’t want to admit it, but this anti-male attitude the left has struck for the last few decades has really begun to drag the party down.

As I wrote on Thursday, its constant attacks on masculinity have driven men away from the party in droves, including young Gen Z men, and pushed them into the arms of the Republican Party.

What makes this especially disastrous is that even leftist women find the lack of real masculinity off-putting, and that most married women tend to be politically influenced by their husbands and rarely the other way around, causing both a lack of enthusiasm from women and a chance that they’ll drift from the Democrat Party and politically align with their husband. As I also wrote, the left didn’t think their attacks on men out, as women with sons would likely take the demonization of their boys personally, further pushing them away from the party.

It took a long time for Democrats to begin figuring this out, a testament to how blinded by their own hubris they’ve been. The only one who seems to really be admitting the issue is James Carville who is apparently so alarmed about it that he’s willing to use the language of the right to get the attention of the left. As he told CNN on Thursday, the left needs to wake up to their own folly.

“What I would say to people is my role is somewhat of a provocateur. And we had a male problem, we had one. And how do I do that? Do I tell Maureen Dowd of The New York Times that a close analysis of the regression group indicates that we have insufficient support among American males. Nobody is going to remember that. So if I say our culture has too many preachy females, you know what, everybody remembers it. And, forget about me, I don’t care. They can attack me all they want to.”

Carville has sounded the alarm. CNN and MSNBC are making excuses. Will the Democrats learn their lesson?

Don’t hold your breath.
