The quaint Toronto house that Meghan Markle maintained during her run on the USA network series Suits has sold for $1.4 million—just five days after landing on the market, Mansion Global reports. Its unnamed buyer secured the deed with a small discount, too; the property sold for about $3,700 under its listed price.

The (future) Duchess of Sussex rented the three-bedroom, two-bathroom dwelling throughout her turn as paralegal Rachel Zane on the legal drama. She starred on the program for seven seasons. Markle moved out of the abode in 2017, when she upgraded to Kensington Palace with her husband Prince Harry, whom she began dating the previous year. The couple made their public debut at the 2017 Invictus Games, which were held in the Canadian city. Will a similarly glamorous fate befall the newest owner of the contemporary two-story dwelling? Time will tell.

“Meg was excited to show me her life, her dogs, her little house, which she adored,” Harry wrote about visiting the home in his 2023 memoir Spare. Markle, a Los Angeles native, made a point of adding some Southern California-inspired flair to the residence during her time there, according to an interview with Vanity Fair. Vignettes of crisp white interrupted by a few cheerful pops of color and hue-ordered bookshelves were among the design details in Markle’s former space.

The A-frame house sports a plum-painted exterior with a covered-entry porch. A turquoise front door opens into the modern eat-in kitchen, which is complete with white cabinetry, a tiled backsplash, and open shelving. A wooden staircase lined with a glass barrier descends into a finished basement rec room, which hosts plenty of built-in storage, a white marble statement wall, a concealed laundry area, and a bathroom with a glass-walled shower and a spacious vanity. While there’s no shortage of charm throughout the residence, its tree-lined backyard patio is arguably the dwelling’s crowning feature. The area boasts plenty of space to entertain or dine alfresco amongst beautiful landscaping.

These days, Markle and Prince Harry keep larger quarters in Southern California. The couple resides in an 18,671-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion on their 7.4-acre estate in celeb-beloved Montecito with their two children, five-year-old Archie and three-year-old Lilibet.
