The Announcement:
Matthew Hughes, Managing Director of national investment advisory firm Capital Property Advisory and Qualified Property Investment Adviser (QPIA), has been unanimously elected to the PIPA board of directors.
Mr Hughes’ appointment follows the resignation of former board director and chair Peter Koulizos, who stepped down at the end of last year after nearly a decade of voluntary service.
Based in Perth, Mr Hughes brings extensive experience in both real estate and mortgage broking, along with a passion for wealth creation through property investment.
PIPA Chair Nicola McDougall expressed gratitude for the outgoing director’s service.
“Peter has been such a role model for the wider industry and has been a steadfast supporter to many current and former board members, including myself as chair,” Ms McDougall said.
“On behalf of the PIPA board of directors, I would like to thank Peter for his many years of service as well as being the former PIPA Chair during a period of strong growth for the association.”
Ms McDougall highlighted the strategic importance of Mr Hughes’ appointment to the organisation’s continued growth.
“PIPA has grown significantly over recent years with hundreds of members and QPIAs around the nation,” she said.
“Matthew not only epitomises the high degree of experience and qualifications of our members, but his appointment ensures that our association can continue to grow in every corner of the country.”
