Billbergia (NSW) Pty Ltd claimed the National Construction Master Builder of the Year Award for their impressive 88 Walker project in North Sydney, the area’s tallest tower at 180 meters.

The 50-level mixed-use commercial building features a signature cantilever expanding floorspace from 4,000m2 to 22,800m2 and achieved a 5-star Greenstar rating.

Havendeen secured the National Residential Master Builder of the Year award for their PALA home project in Queensland, featuring complex architectural elements, including three post-tensioned concrete slabs and 22 precast panels.

South Australian Matt Cates was recognised as National Young Builder of the Year for his outstanding leadership at 4Life Constructions, where he implemented innovative safety measures, including a QR code system for site inductions.

Tyler Love from New South Wales was named National Apprentice of the Year, acknowledged for his exceptional skills as a carpentry apprentice and leadership in guiding younger apprentices.

“Every project and individual recognised over the weekend is a testament to the resilience and leadership that defines our industry,” Master Builders Australia CEO Denita Wawn said.

“Master Builders members continue to demonstrate their ability to deliver high-quality projects that set benchmarks for innovation and excellence in the industry.”

“These awards celebrate not just the structures and projects but the people behind them – builders, subcontractors, and their teams who go above and beyond to transform communities.”
