You know you’ve spent too much time in Hollywood and not enough time in the real world when you think it’s a good career move to work with the deeply troubled folks behind the Lincoln Project. This is the sad fate that seems to have befallen actor Ed O’Neill, originator of the much-beloved Al Bundy character on “Married With Children,” who has debased himself by voicing a pro-Kamala ad for the group of dubious characters.

Let’s back up a minute and remind ourselves what the Lincoln Project is all about. They grew from the ashes of the original Never-Trump movement from 2016, and are a collection of spineless, failed “Republican” consultants with sordid pasts who live for the grift. They sold their souls and pretend to hate Donald Trump in order to get some of that sweet, sweet Democrat cash. And, oh, how the Dems love to exploit them as the useful fools they are.

In other words, they were Liz Cheney before Liz Cheney was Liz Cheney.

The group announced Friday that O’Neill willingly joined the grift by doing the voiceover for a new ad to be released as part of the Democrat Party’s hilarious effort to entice/bully men into voting for Kamala. Or, as the Lincoln Project puts it, “[implore] men to rise above racism and xenophobia and vote for the only qualified candidate in this race, Vice President Harris.” LOL.

They’re calling the ad “A Place Like Springfield,” and they apparently think it will clinch male voters for Kamala. And if that’s what they truly think, this ad ain’t it.

If you can’t bear to watch, and who can blame you, here’s the whole, cringey thing:

There’s something about small towns that bring out the best in a man.

Maybe it’s the warmth and kindness emanating from Main Street and neighborhood schools, multiple generations of families working hard to make ends meet.

It’s churches opening the doors to all who come seeking grace and shelter from the storm.

A place like Springfield, Ohio. Springfield was badly in need of workers to fill the jobs its townspeople couldn’t or wouldn’t take, so these Haitian immigrants found their way across the world, hoping they too would have a chance at the same dream our forefathers had when they came to America, and then a vicious, xenophobic lie turned Springfield upside down.

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats.”

Who the hell are these people?

Look, this election isn’t just about Springfield, this is about your town, your community, and your values.

There’s only one person out there who stands for decency, for opportunity, who shares our values.

It’s time to let her lead.

It’s time to stand for the principles and freedoms that built this country, because I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about.

I still think this country is great.

It’s time to be a man, vote for a woman.

You got that, gents? You’re not a man if you don’t vote for Kamala. And that’s straight from Hollywood!

The best thing that can be said about this ad — other than “What in the world was Ed thinking?”— is that if you were looking for a Friday night drinking game that involves taking a shot every time you hear a tried-and-true Democrat fallacy, here you go.

  • Kamala has nothing to do with families having to work hard “to make ends meet” — DRINK!
  • Americans won’t take these kinds of jobs, so we need illegal immigration — DRINK!
  • Xenophobia — DRINK!
  • Overt gaslighting — DRINK!

The only explanation for trite, embarrassing efforts like this is that the panic has really set in on the fast-sinking USS Kamala. For some reason, they think actual men are going to be shamed into voting for her, when just the opposite is true. Real men want to protect their families from Kamala Harris and her destructive policies. For goodness sake, she chose Tim Walz, the least manly man out there, as her running mate!

This ad is really only one degree away from the rantings of that unhinged college professor who called for men who don’t vote for Kamala to be lined up and shot, and it’s hard to think of anything that will repel male voters more.

It’s not unexpected to see the Lincoln Project cabal reduced to this kind of nonsense, but it’s sad to see Ed O’Neill sink down to their level. He’s too old to not know better, and it’s unlikely that fans of his Al Bundy character are going see this ad as anything other than another Hollywood bubble-dweller selling out for an extremely misguided cause.

If you’re an Ed O’Neill fan, let us know your thoughts in the comments!
