Man dies after Las Vegas fire crews find him stuck in palm tree

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A man has died after fire crews found him stuck in a palm tree in the east Las Vegas valley.

It happened on Wednesday shortly after 3 p.m. when Las Vegas Fire and Rescue located the man in the 2000 block of East Bonanza Road near Eastern Avenue.

A caller reported to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue that they saw an unconscious man about 25 feet in the air and stuck in a palm tree.

After firefighters arrived and were able to get him down from the tree he was deemed unresponsive and passed away at the scene, according to LVFR.

Las Vegas Metro police have closed off east and westbound traffic along Bonanza Road.
