At least two confirmed tornadoes touched down in the Channel 2 Action News viewing area early Sunday morning.
The line of storms prompted several tornado warnings across the region starting around 3 a.m. as it moved into Georgia and east.

Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said the storms moved quickly, with wind gusts close to 80 mph measured at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.
