WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – The 47-year-old Wisconsin man found guilty of killing four Waupaca County siblings in a drunken driving crash just before Christmas 2023 is in court for a sentencing hearing.
Scott Farmer pleaded no contest and was found guilty by the court on one count of operating while intoxicated and four counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle during a plea hearing on August 7.
Farmer, who is from Neenah, was driving west in the eastbound lane on U.S. Highway 10 when he crashed into another vehicle head-on. The crash killed four siblings, Daniel (25), Fabian (23), Lilian (14), and Daniela (9) Gonzalez, who were out for their weekly Saturday dinner at Culver’s following a shopping trip.
At the crash scene, law enforcement reportedly found Farmer with an open bottle of vodka beside him.
It is the fifth time Farmer’s been found guilty of driving while intoxicated.
