Lexi Thompson, who is set to compete in her 18th U.S. Women’s Open this week at 29 years old, will be retiring from full-time professional golf at the end of 2024, the U.S. Women’s Open announced Tuesday.

In 2007, Thompson became the youngest qualifier in U.S. Women’s Open history at age 12, a record since broken by Lucy Li, who qualified at 11 years old in 2014.

Thompson turned pro in 2010 at 15 years old and has won 11 LPGA Tour tournaments. She won one major, the Chevron Championship in 2014, in her career. Her latest victory on the LPGA Tour was in June 2019.

This will be updated.
