The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards revealed her thoughts on Mauricio Umansky’s desk photo swap.
During the Tuesday, November 26, episode of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Richards, 55, told the cameras she “didn’t love” Umansky’s decision to replace a photo of the former couple with one of him and his season 32 Dancing With the Stars dance partner, Emma Slater.
Richards, who was married to Umansky, 54, for 27 years before separating in July 2023, explained that upon discovering the photo switch, she attempted to see things from Umansky’s perspective.
“I understand to a certain degree … that’s his desk and right in front of his face is an 8×10 of him kissing my cheek staring at him all day,” Richards said during the episode while seated alongside fellow RHOBH star Erika Jayne. “I can understand, kind of, not wanting to stare at that if it hurt him or, you know, was difficult for him in putting that away.”

Richards, who shares three daughters with Umansky, Alexia, 28, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16, then revealed the less sympathetic side of her thought process.
“But did you need to put up that photo on the shelf? It was a really dumb thing to do, I mean honestly,” Richards said.

A producer then asked Richards, who is also a mother to daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, 36, whom she shares with her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, if she had spoken to Umansky about the photo switch, to which she replied, “I still haven’t.”
Richards then confirmed that the photo does not still sit in Umansky’s office.
Shortly after Richards and Umansky split, the real estate mogul was romantically linked to Slater, 35, after photos of the pair holding hands went viral. Both Umansky and Slater denied being involved in a relationship at the time.
Richards wasn’t the only RHOBH star to take issue with Umansky’s controversial desk rearrangement.

Erika Jayne said during the After Show episode that she “did not like” Umansky’s decision, before telling Richards that she too had received a photo in 2017 of her with her season 24 “very handsome” DWTS dance partner Gleb Savchenko. “It is nowhere near my house,” Jayne, 53, exclaimed.
Kathy Hilton was also seen during Tuesday’s episode of RHOBH telling Jayne and Sutton Stracke inside Richards’ home that, “It would be one thing to take it down. But then to put that up? Come on.”
As the women left Richards’ home, Stracke, 53, took a look at Umansky’s office herself, before asking Richards, “Does that feel weird, the desk?” Kyle responded, “Yeah, it feels weird that my picture was taken down too.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
