The Announcement:

Knight Frank has strengthened its foothold in Tasmania with the formation of two new Asset Management Services (AMS) teams, set to manage 10 shopping centres for Region Group.

The new teams, based in Hobart and Launceston, bring together a group of experienced professionals with over 100 years of combined experience in commercial and shopping centre management.

Leading the teams are Harmonie Green as Centre Manager in Hobart, overseeing seven shopping centres in the South, and Diana Mitchell as Centre Manager in Launceston, managing three shopping centres in the North.

The expansion includes key appointments such as Christina Richards and Atul Trikha as Administration Managers, Narah Hughes and Caine McLennan in operations roles, and Daniel Hochstadter as Regional Operations Manager.

Knight Frank Head of Asset Management, Region Portfolio Jo Fleming highlighted the significance of this expansion.

“Knight Frank has been managing Region Group’s portfolio of 100 shopping centres across Australia since mid-2022,” Ms Fleming said.

“We now manage 10 shopping centres in Tasmania for Region Group, and we’re excited to be expanding our service offering in the state in the near future.”

Knight Frank Australia Chief Executive Officer James Patterson expressed enthusiasm about the company’s growth plans in Tasmania.

“In addition to strengthening our Asset Management Services team to provide the best service for Region Group, we intend to expand our presence in the state further in 2025,” Mr Patterson said.

“We believe Tasmania has significant growth prospects for the future and will look to continuing to expand our teams in the state.”

The company, which previously operated a franchise in Tasmania for 27 years until mid-2024, is working with partner McGrath Estate Agents to bolster its local activity.
