It was quite something to see the fireworks at the White House during the meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the signing of the mineral deal on Friday.

Things fell apart because of Zelensky’s attitude. Trump and Vance were not having any of it. They didn’t feel like he was showing any gratitude at all and that he was trying to dictate to us. So they apparently told him to leave until he was ready to come back and talk.

According to Fox’s Jacqui Heinrich, they not only didn’t sign the mineral deal and canceled the press conference, but they gave the lunch they were going to have with him to the press office staffers to eat. Ouch.

Given that the Zelensky team was already backpedaling after the meeting, I suspect they will ultimately come to a better place. But I think he learned he’s not dealing with open-pocket Joe Biden anymore.

Zelensky Attempts Oval Office Grandstanding; Finds Out Trump and Vance Don’t Play That Game

Now, of course, you had the never-Trumper folks, like Liz Cheney, weigh in on all this. Would they stand with the U.S. position? Of course not, because their hatred of Trump is more important. They didn’t care about Zelensky’s attitude or all the time and money that the U.S. has given to his support. It was only about how they could twist the event to somehow attack Trump.

Generations of American patriots, from our revolution onward, have fought for  the principles Zelenskyy is risking his life to defend. But today, Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy and pressured him to surrender the freedom of his people to the KGB war criminal who invaded Ukraine.  History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for.

They didn’t do any such thing. They’re trying to figure out how we come to a resolution of a war that we’ve been pouring money into for years with no real end in sight. But reality and Liz Cheney are not in the same ballpark.

Then there was the perpetually unhappy Adam Kinzinger. He didn’t look well. And he claimed Trump was “too scared to stand next to Vladimir Putin,” which is nonsense since Trump has stood next to Putin many times. Kinzinger said we should be thanking Ukraine for taking on the Russians. He, of course, leaves out it’s all on our dime, with no resolution in site, unless the Trump administration makes it happen.

Kinzinger claimed somehow that Russia was on the brink of losing, so “No one in the Oval Office should dare to lecture Zelensky. Screw you guys.”

This guy lives in a dream world. It was Trump who dropped bombs on the Russian contractors in Syria. It wasn’t under Trump that Putin invaded, it was under Kinzinger’s buddy, Joe Biden. Putin knew not to tussle with Trump, and Zelensky is finding out that’s not a good idea either.

Then Kinzinger completely misleads about what Trump has said on the war. Calling a tactic “brilliant” is not the same as agreeing with Putin or thinking the invasion was a good thing. Trump condemned the invasion and called it “appalling” and said he supported Ukraine. Kinzinger leaves that out.

Kinzinger talked about people being cowards, but he’s too afraid to even leave his responses open on X to deal with the criticism he’ll get over his ridiculous statement. Cheney got blasted.
