Scarlett Johansson’s latest daytime TV appearance might have been a hugely beneficial one for her twin brother, Hunter.
The actress appeared on Live With Kelly and Mark on Tuesday, November 26, where Scarlett was asked by cohost Kelly Ripa about the connection she and her twin, both 40, have with one another.
“We know so much about each other because, you know, we were in utero together,” Scarlett said, while noting, “He’s also my brother. He’s just also a dude.”
Scarlett theorized that because she and Hunter are fraternal twins, their bond isn’t as close as it could be.
“I feel if we were identical twins, we’d probably have more of that mind-body thing,” she explained. “But I look at him and I’m like, ‘You’re also a stinky dude.’ We don’t have as much of that.”
Still, Scarlett insisted her brother is “great” and described their relationship as “close.”
“He’s a gem,” she said. “He’s also single.”
That’s when Ripa’s ears perked up and she said, “I think I found him somebody!”
“No way!” Scarlett exclaimed, and insinuated that she and Ripa, 54, would need to talk after the show.
Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, also appeared to support the matchmaking endeavor. “We have somebody for him!” he said excitedly.
Ripa described the potential suitor as “beautiful, accomplished, lovely” and “a kind person.”
“So we may be having Thanksgiving together next year?” Scarlett joked. “Great!”
Scarlett and Hunter are the youngest children of Karsten Johansson and Melanie Sloan.
They have two older siblings — Adrian and Vanessa — plus an older half-brother from their father’s first marriage, Christian, and a younger sister, Fenan Sloan, 15, who their mother adopted.
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost’s love story is one for the books. Scarlett has been married to husband Colin Jost since 2020, and the couple share a son Cosmo, 3. The actress is also mother to daughter Rose, 10, from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.
During her chat with Kelly and Mark, Scarlett revealed how Jost, 42, helped celebrate her 40th birthday earlier this month.
“He’s very good at gift-giving,” she said. “He always buys beautiful jewelry. He threw me a humongous bash this year. It was a surprise. I had all the martinis for everyone. I can’t wait to see the photos so I can remember the night.”
Scarlett continued, “It was just incredible. So many of my friends and colleagues came from all over the place. It was magical. And he put it all together!”
