White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt tore into Democrat lawmakers for actively inciting violence in the streets, saying they need to be “held accountable.”

Leavitt, responding to a question posed by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy on Wednesday, blasted some of the actions of those in the resistance party in recent days.

“Are any officials here preparing to fight Democrat lawmakers in the streets?” Doocy wondered.

Leavitt replied, “Absolutely not,” barely able to stifle her laughter at the phrasing of the question.

RedState’s Nick Arama covered the insanity emanating from Tuesday’s anti-DOGE protests outside the Treasury Department. To summarize: Democrats have lost their minds, which is quite a feat considering they may have never had them in the first place.

Leavitt noted that in a sane world, these sitting members of Congress would face repercussions for their incendiary comments.

“It’s unacceptable, the comments that have been made by these Democrat leaders, and frankly, they don’t even know what they’re talking about, because President Trump was elected with a mandate from the American people to make this government more efficient,” she fired back.

Democrats not knowing what they’re talking about is evergreen content. But the level of cluelessness has been amped up a few notches when it comes to the freakout about DOGE.

Americans voted for accountability in government. They voted for the slashing of waste and the elimination of fraud.

As Leavitt explained:

He [Trump] campaigned across this country with Elon Musk vowing that Elon was going to head up the Department of Government Efficiency and the two of them with a great team around them were going to look at the receipts of this federal government and ensure it’s accountable to American taxpayers. That’s all that is happening here.

She continued: “And for Democrat officials to incite violence and encourage Americans to take to the streets is incredibly alarming, and they should be held accountable for that rhetoric.”

In case you missed the festivities this week, a certain segment of Congress took umbrage with the fact that Musk and his DOGE team are cleaning out and/or shutting down USAID, an agency proven to be serving as a pet project slush fund for the Democrat Party.

Sensing their grift is on the ropes, Democrats have been setting their hair on fire. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) kicked off the calls for violence late last week, threatening that they were “gonna fight” Trump’s agenda “in the streets.”

Having been given the dog whistle call to arms, Jeffries’ colleagues promptly called for a violent uprising. And they did so repeatedly.

Congress’ most woke race warrior, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), warned Republicans that they “are gonna be in yo face and “on your a**es!”

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) gave a wink and a nod to arsonists, warning Republicans that “if you do not see the light, we will bring the fire.”

We all know what far-left activists in the streets are capable of with fire.

As Doocy pointed out in the clip above, Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) flat-out called for insurrection and “war”:

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) tried to rekindle his old Spartacus ways, outlining how his colleagues planned to “fight” back against what the American people want:

Booker is wound up. One can almost imagine him rolling up to the White House in a leather jacket, riding his custom, tripped-out Vespa scooter with a license plate that reads ‘IMSPARTY,’ ready to take Musk on inside a steel cage.

As much as these Democrats are a joke, their threats are no laughing matter. Leavitt is correct; these individuals should be held accountable. Had a Marjorie Taylor Greene or an Anna Paulina Luna called for violence in the streets, they’d almost immediately be censured.

There’s no excuse for Republicans not to get on top of this and make an example out of those calling for violence.

It is, as Leavitt notes, unacceptable.
