The Chiefs are the best team in football. Their offense isn’t explosive but it’s super efficient. That makes it hard for them to consistently win by a large margin. This week they return to the site of Super Bowl LVIII to face the Las Vegas Raiders.

Catch up on what you need to know from this week on the Chiefs … and it’s all about DeAndre Hopkins:

Hopkins ready to use ‘massive’ hands to uplift offense
“His hands are phenomenal,” offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said of Hopkins. “I think he’s got some of the least amount of drops in the history of the NFL. The experience that he has, he understands and has seen a bunch of different defenses. That’s valuable.”

What can the Chiefs expect from their new receiver?
Hopkins, 6-foot-1 and 212 pounds, is a strong receiver when running routes on the perimeter, which is exactly what the Chiefs need.

Trade Grades: Chiefs get Patrick Mahomes the help he desperately needed
The Chiefs had to make a move, and they might have acquired the biggest name remaining on the market.

Scouting the Raiders

Tom Brady’s Raiders to-do list
While Brady’s role within the Raiders has yet to be finalized, one can already put together a to-do list for him when he starts consulting this offseason.

Raiders sign QB Desmond Ridder following Aidan O’Connell’s injury
Ridder was plucked off the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad and will join the Raiders for Week 8.

Raiders rookie Brock Bowers’ YAC secret?
The Raiders QBs are just as amazed by the rookie tight end’s ability to get yards after the catch as everyone else.

Aidan O’Connell expected to miss 4-6 weeks
O’Connell was placed on injured reserve and the quarterback is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a fractured thumb.

How good are the Chiefs?

Check out Austin Mock’s 2024 NFL projections, where you will find each team’s probability of conquering its division, advancing through the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl. The projections are based on 100,000 simulations of the remainder of the season, which factors in each team’s projected strength, current health as well as its remaining schedule.
