It’s going to be a long four years for the radical left. They swore Donald Trump would never see the inside of the Oval Office again. No, wait, that was Democrats, oh, same difference. They have yet to get over Trump’s landslide and winning the popular vote that put him there. Now, they are making plans for Inauguration Day. As you might expect, those plans include plenty of mischief, mayhem, and violence, and they are actively recruiting in the one place you might also expect: college campuses.

Yet another not-so-unexpected thing is the groups that appear to be spearheading the recruiting. The one thing they all have in common, they all have violent histories. Flyers with QR codes have begun to spring up around George Washington University. When you scan the code, you are directed to several links, including the People’s Medic Collective (PMC), DMV Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and the Socialist Action Initiative (SAI). Several flyers scream out at the reader with headings like “What Now?” Another reads, “Fight Fascism! Start Today!” A third flyer reads, “Turn Your Anger Into Action!”

A brief history of these groups reads like a who’s who of radical leftist organizations. The PMC recruits healthcare professionals to provide medical care to protesters when they engage in violent protests with police. They are quite proud of having assisted “dozens” of protesters during an “Arrest Netanyahu” protest back in July. During that protest, there were violent clashes with law enforcement, vandalism of statues, and burning of American flags. DMV SJP is no stranger to George Washington University’s campus. They organized a pro-Palestinian encampment in April, and in May, over 30 students were arrested when they failed to disburse the camp. Four were arrested on charges of assaulting police officers. All three of these groups were involved in pro-Palestinian protests in Washington following the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas, and there was plenty of possible illegal activity.

But make no mistake. These are not just groups of rag-tag college students who have been indoctrinated by left-wing professors to hate Donald Trump, Republicans, and conservatives. There are some highly organized groups behind them. Familiar names like the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, the Women’s March, and the National Women’s Law Center, just to name a few. They all plan to be in the streets of Washington, D.C., on January 20, 2025.

In 2016, Donald Trump’s election took many of these left-wing groups by surprise. That surprise quickly turned to anger and rage as extremely violent groups like Antifa took to the streets. But 2024 is a whole lot different than 2016. In 2024, Trump not only won a landslide electoral victory, but he also won the popular vote overwhelmingly. That expected crowd of 50,000 people will be mainly Trump supporters there to witness the culmination of the greatest political comeback in American history, one they helped facilitate. Is there really a chance they are going to let some leftist snowflakes ruin the party?

The “resistance” is not just limited to college students indoctrinated to be angry at Trump’s election. House Democrats are gearing up for their own anti-Trump movement. My colleague Jeff Charles has reported on House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) taking the lead in trying to find various ways House Democrats can head off a GOP majority in the House and throw some roadblocks up in the way of the Trump agenda. But Republicans taking control of the Senate will make it all that much harder for them to mount any kind of resistance.

Law enforcement will no doubt be ready for Inauguration Day 2025. But I’m confused, don’t these protesters represent the same party that told us election denying was wrong?
