John Gunthorpe joins JLL as director of valuations – agribusiness

JLL has appointed John Gunthorpe as Director of Value and Risk Advisory – Agribusiness, bringing over 15 years of experience to the role.

JLL has appointed John Gunthorpe as Director of Value and Risk Advisory – Agribusiness.

JLL Head of Value and Risk Advisory – Australia & New Zealand, Dale Winfield said Mr Gunthorpe has more than 15 years’ experience advising in the Agribusiness, Infrastructure and Energy sectors across Australia, UK and Europe.

“John brings a wealth of global valuation, property and leadership experience to JLL which will greatly benefit the broader JLL business and our clients,” Mr Winfield said.

Mr Gunthorpe was previously worked in the UK market until 2022 where he advised on major infrastructure and energy projects including Heathrow Airport and Bristol Airport Expansions, High Speed Two Rail and National Grid.

“John is an experienced valuer and property consultant with particular specialisations in advising on poultry, equine breeding and training, dairy, viticulture, plantation forestry, and post-farmgate processing assets, as well as large-scale pastoral and cropping properties,” Mr Winfield said.

Mr Gunthorpe also has significant experience within the energy sector advising on solar, battery storage, electrical, and gas transmission apparatus, as well as major infrastructure, mining and gas projects across Australia and the UK.

“John regularly undertakes valuation assignments for a range of clients including legal practices, government departments, institutional, corporate, and private clients,” Mr Winfield said.

Mr Gunthorpe holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Real Estate & Development) from the University of Queensland and is an Associate Member of the Australian Property Institute and Certified Practising Valuer (AAPI CPV).
