Former ‘NSync star Joey Fatone is still eager for an official reunion — even though his four former bandmates got together last week without him.

Lance Bass, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick all went along to Justin Timberlake‘s show on Monday, January 20, while Fatone was busy on Broadway in & Juliet. Bass wrote via Instagram, “In honor of Joey’s Broadway debut tonight, we had a date night without him” — but thankfully Fatone, 48, has taken the snub in good humor and still wants to reunite properly.

“I texted them, I said, ‘you sons of bee-yatches!’” he told E! News, when asked if the beloved boy band were planning a reunion tour. “That’s why I’m trying to get these guys together, so we can have that conversation.”

Fatone added that he has now invited his old friends to come and see his Broadway show, in the hope that they can talk afterwards about the much-anticipated — especially by Fatone — reunion.

There are no current plans for an ‘NSync reunion tour, but if anything changes, Joey Fatone has already drawn up ideas. “The hardest part about that is, I think, we all [haven’t] had our brains together in a long time,” Fatone, 47, exclusively told Us Weekly at ‘90s Con on Friday, September 13. “All of […]

He previously told the New York Post that the fivesome were hoping to make firm plans soon. “That’s really what it boils down to,” he said. “And we’re gonna hopefully do that soon. We keep saying soon, but it’s getting where it’s like either s— or get off the pot. Let’s be real.”

Meanwhile, a planned biopic of the boy band is on hold, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, which has producer Neal H. Moritz behind it — best known for The Fast and the Furious and Sonic the Hedgehog — would focus on the group’s success in the aftermath of their legal battle with former manager Lou Pearlman.

While all five former ‘NSync members are clearly on good terms right now, getting sign-off from multiple different management firms is believed to be a stumbling block for the project.

‘NSync formed in 1995 and recorded a demo at Shaquille O’Neal’s house before getting a record deal … initially, in Germany. They soon became huge across Europe before taking the U.S. by storm with their debut album, ‘NSync, reaching No. 2 in the Billboard charts in 1998. Over the next few years, they had a string of hits including “It’s Gonna Be Me,” “Bye Bye Bye” and “Girlfriend.”

While Timberlake is the only member to find major success since the group went on hiatus in 2002 and then confirmed in 2004 that they had split for good, ‘NSync fans — and that’s all of Us, right? — are eager to see all five together again, especially with the ‘90s and ‘00s reunion in full swing. Movie, tour, both? We don’t mind, just as long as they remember to invite Fatone this time!
