As RedState’s Mike Miller and Streiff reported earlier Sunday, Vice President JD Vance took to the airwaves of CBS News’ “Face the Nation” and pretty much destroyed host Margaret Brennan’s silly Corrupt Media talking points on everything from the economy to U.S. Catholic Bishops to energy and more.

Wonder if she left the studio and went straight to the neighborhood bar for a stiff drink?

Might want to think twice about debating this guy:

But wait, there’s more! Another clip is going viral where Vance basically smashes her apparent desire to just let in Afghan refugees willy-nilly, regardless of whether they could be dangers to our nation.

Watch:

Wowza. It was like watching a boxing match. With an everpresent annoyed look on her face, host Margaret Brennan just kept firing off loaded question after loaded question, all seemingly implying that he and the administration were uncaring people who were perfectly happy to let the refugees in Afghanistan suffer for no reason.

But like a bulldog terrier, he just kept coming back at her with fact after fact, reasoned explanation after explanation. Better make that a double, bartender.

When she said many of them had been vetted, he reminded her that the vetting process had been proven to have flaws and that the safety of our country comes before anything else:

In his first interview since taking office, Vance, 40, spoke to the ‘Face the Nation’ host about President Donald Trump‘s slew of executive orders, including an end to the country’s refugee program.

During their talk, which aired on Sunday morning, Vance vehemently defended Trump’s decision to cut off the program while also putting Brennan in her place as she said that the Oklahoma man who plotted an election day terrorist attack in October was ‘a very particular case.’

It was then that he came in with the kicker:

‘I don’t really care, Margaret. I don’t want that person in my country and I think most Americans agree with me,’ Vance said as he honed in on refugees not being ‘properly vetted’ before they touch down on American soil.

Vance has proven since he was picked by Trump to be his running mate that he is a formidable force who is not to be trifled with and will bring eloquence, logic and facts to any debate or interview.

He sums up his position on the refugee issue perfectly:

‘But my primary concern as vice president, Margaret, is to look after the American people, and now that we know we have vetting problems with a lot of these refugee programs, we absolutely cannot unleash thousands of unvetted people into our country,’ Vance said…

While Brennan tried to get some words in, Vance continued: ‘I don’t want my children to share a neighborhood with people who are not properly vetted, and because I don’t want it for my kids, I’m not gonna force any other American citizens’ kids to that either.’

The leftist/media default argument to any situation is to accuse Republicans of being heartless and cruel. Vance, however, is right: even if the situation in the war-torn country is tragic, our safety must come first. That’s not cruelty, that’s reality.

Might want to get a chaser with that.
