Savills Australia and New Zealand has appointed James Hall to the newly created role of State Head of Luxury and Rural Residential – NSW, underscoring the leading agency’s global commitment to enhancing its capabilities in the luxury residential and rural lifestyle sector.

With an illustrious career spanning almost three decades, Mr Hall has a wealth of experience in the buying and selling of luxury homes and residences, rural estates, and apartments with his reputation as a skilled negotiator seeing him achieve price records in prestigious markets throughout Australia, and internationally across Asia and the UK.

Mr Hall began his career in 1998 and subsequently held key positions with leading real estate firms throughout the world.

Mr Hall has successfully launched over 260 residential projects into the Asian market, making significant sales including Barangaroo Penthouse for $10.5 million and Fitzroy Place Penthouse for £7 million.

Tom Mott, State Managing Director – NSW at Savills Australia and New Zealand, said he was excited about the appointment.

“James’ unparalleled connections and networks, combined with his impressive track record in the luxury real estate and rural lifestyle market, will be a significant asset to our Australian and global residential businesses alike,” Mr Mott said.

Residential is a significant focus for the Savills business globally, with the scale and diversity of the international residential business providing an excellent platform from which to grow the offering locally.

Paul Craig, Chief Executive Officer at Savills Australia and New Zealand said the goal was to grow the team over the next six months or so, focusing on Luxury, Prestige and Lifestyle.

“Our focus is establishing and growing the capabilities in the New South Wales market, initially focusing on Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and beaches as well as the Southern Highlands and coastal regions, with potential growth in other markets as the opportunity arises,” Mr Craig said.

“This new local luxury and rural residential offering will serve to complement the Savills international residential business, strengthen cross-border capabilities and provide our clients with a truly global service.”
