While cease-fire negotiations go around and around and the endless whining from the pro-Hamas brigades continues, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are just going on about their business of making bad terrorists into good terrorists. Three reports of such events have been documented Friday morning on the IDF’s official X account.
First, a Hezbollah cell in Lebanon was identified and deleted by an Israel Air Force airstrike, which showed off the IAF’s penchant for precision hits.

Note the secondary explosions followed by the random launch of what appears to be a rocket or missile, indicating that this was a weapons storage site.
Next, the IDF identified the sally point of a Hamas tunnel and dealt with it, deleting a Hamas terror cell as they emerged and then discovering yet another weapons storage site in the tunnel.

Finally, again in Gaza, a Hamas command and control and weapons storage site was found inside a compound that had been a school. And, again, that site was deleted in a precision air strike.
A Hamas command and control center embedded inside a compound that previously served as the “Jaafer Ali Bin Abu Taleb” School was found in the area of Zeitoun. Hamas used the compound to store large quantities of weapons and conduct terrorist activities in the area.

All this is going on while the United States State Department is pushing for some cease-fire deal that leaves Hamas in charge in Gaza; the very fact that these weapons caches are still being found in Gaza is the strongest possible argument against leaving any remnants of Hamas present in Gaza.

No cease-fire deal, it must be noted, that involves leaving any part of Hamas or its leadership in place will result in any lasting peace. Hamas will simply use the cease-fire to re-arm, re-equip, recruit more fighters, and eventually attack again. Hamas and Hezbollah are the scorpion on the back of the Israeli frog, and it’s certain that they will, given the chance, carry out another Oct 7th-style attack. They had a cease-fire in place before October 7th, after all; all they would have had to do to keep that cease-fire in place was to, you know, not invade Israel and commit rape, arson, and murder of innocent civilians on a horrific scale.
But these people are irredeemable. This is what they do. It’s not possible to achieve a lasting peace as long as Hamas and Hezbollah exist.
Meanwhile, the IDF will no doubt continue with its mission: un-aliving terrorists and destroying their weapons and infrastructure. That’s always a good thing to do.
