Intel (INTC) is reportedly delaying plans for its $28 billion chip factory in New Albany, Ohio, according to local outlet The Columbia Dispatch, which is now scheduled to be completed in 2030 and begin operations as late as 2031.

Brad Smith and Julie Hyman expand upon these headlines, referencing Intel’s own search for a new CEO since Pat Gelsinger’s sudden departure in late 2024 and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSM) own interest in acquiring a segment of Intel.
