Witney Carson and husband Carson McAllister took some R&R on a romantic getaway to Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
“With the DWTS season just ending, we felt it was a perfect time to get some much-needed relaxation and quality time together as a couple,” Carson, 31, exclusively tells Us Weekly of her and McAllister’s getaway. “The kids were able to stay with family (getting some much-needed cousin time) while our new house is being renovated!”
During their trip, Carson and McAllister stayed in a Beachfront Villa Suite at the resort, which included a private pool and their own personal butler service. The suite was also steps away from the beach. The pair went scuba diving, rode ATVs, participated in couples’ workouts and more.
The Dancing With the Stars pro shares that she and McAllister “usually” bring sons Kevin, 3, and Jet, 19 months, on vacation, but the couple likes to do at least “one trip a year together as a couple” to spend some “quality time alone.” While the parents are away, Carson confesses they miss their kids “so much” during the time apart.
“Jet is 19 months and starting to talk so much. He is really into everything his big brother is doing,” Carson says of her little ones. “He enjoys climbing on things and jumping off (which makes things stressful for us!). Leo is really enjoying getting back into school with his friends, learning, building Legos with Dad and loves karate.”
Carson adds that while her former DWTS partner Danny Amendola was coaching Leo in football during the season, they haven’t been able to team up again since the finale.
“Danny lives in Texas, so no coaching at the moment,” she tells Us. “Leo has been working on his spiral though, and I have to say it’s getting good! We love Coach Danny!”
