At this point, the Democrats don’t know what to do.
President Donald Trump has come in like a house on fire, with a determined effort to get things done, and he’s doing it at light speed. He’s not even giving the Democrats time to absorb it all, so they don’t know which way to turn–and they’re going out of their minds.
One tactic the left has been trying is to attack Elon Musk, hoping to split the two, so that Trump loses a powerful ally. Part of their effort is to needle at Trump in the ego, by imply that Musk is the actual “president” because they think that will somehow upset Trump. I don’t think they understand Trump very well. He’s shown he has no problem working with other powerful people. Plus, it’s a dumb tactic. How is Trump supposed to be the fascist Hitler but at the same time, a puppet of Musk? They don’t think about the logical inconsistencies of the propaganda that they try to push.
It doesn’t seem to be working, and now Elon is trolling the left back over the tactic, in some funny comments with a point.

Trump was asked about that comment by Fox News’ White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, during a presser with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.

Trump grinned broadly, clearly loving it, and said he doesn’t think Melania will be too worried by it all: “I think she’ll be ok with it, somehow.”
A reporter did ask about a Time magazine cover that had Musk sitting at the Resolute Desk. “Mr. President, do you have a reaction to the new Time magazine cover that has Elon Musk sitting behind your Resolute Desk?” It was obviously playing to this Democratic tactic/talking point. Trump looked like he thought it was a stupid question. But he was having none of it, and he just squashed them.

TRUMP: “Is Time magazine still in business? I didn’t even know that…”

After answering “no,” he asked snarkily, “Is Time magazine still in business? I didn’t even know that.”
Sorry to anyone pushing this effort; you just went down in flames. That was clear, as he noted, that Musk would be looking at everything, including the Pentagon, in time. That’s going to be a big item.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s this funny picture posted by Trump that’s likely to drive the Democrats absolutely nuts. I think it was taken on Thursday, when both Elon and Tucker Carlson were seen at the White House.
