Hugh Grant is finally sharing the names of his two daughters with wife Anna Eberstein.
During a Tuesday, October 29, appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Grant, 64, revealed that his youngest two daughters are named Lulu Danger, 8, and Blue, 6.
“I was in a bit of a panic with my wife on the day we named [Lulu], and we thought it might be nice for her when she was older if she could say in bars that her middle name was danger, so her name is Lulu Danger Grant,” the British actor said. “[Like] Austin Powers.”
With Blue, Grant was in a similar state of “panic.”
“I panicked about names with my wife, so we asked her elder brother [son John Mungo] when she was on the way,” Grant recalled. “‘There’s a new baby on the way, what should we call her?’ And he said, Kevin because that was his favorite minion. We did think about calling her Kevin but then we said, ‘You better think of something else.’ So, he said blue because it was his favorite color.”
Grant and Eberstein, 41, have been married since 2018, welcoming John in 2013, Lulu in 2015 and Blue in 2018. Grant also shares eldest children Tabitha and Felix with ex Tinglan Hong.
The Heretic star also gave rare insight into Blue and Lulu’s latest interests on Tuesday.
“Lulu and Blue are too good at Halloween,” he quipped to host Jimmy Kimmel. “You know those twins in The Shining? The little boy’s on his tricycle and the two identical girls say, ‘Come play with us, forever and ever and ever.’ They go from house to house doing that. They look very similar; almost the same size though they’re different ages.”
According to Grant, Blue and Lulu are “too good” at their spooky impressions that he and Eberstein have gotten “notes” asking them to stop sending the girls to the neighbors’ houses.
Lulu is also a fan of Taylor Swift’s music, so Grant and Eberstein took her to see The Eras Tour this summer at London’s Wembley Stadium.
“I’m mad about Taylor,” Grant quipped on Tuesday. “She does want to meet Taylor, and I haven’t been able to lay that on for her.”
During the concert, Grant went viral when he was spotted snacking on carrots in the VIP tent. He also indulged in tequila shots with Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
“So many shots with him and his friends,” Grant recalled. “I don’t know who they were; I don’t know what was happening, but I do know that I got to the stage where I could ‘Shake it Off.’”
