We reported on Tuesday on a clip of Kamala Harris that had gone viral.
The clip was from a call that Harris made to grassroots supporters, and it was posted by the Democrats’ account on X. It had many people wondering if she was drunk and also wondering why the Democrats’s account would post a clip that made her look so bad.

She’s telling them, “Don’t ever let anybody or any circumstance take your power from you” — even as her power is about to be taken from her.

Right before she made that call to those supporters, she spoke on a call with her campaign finance committee and over 400 donors. What DNC national finance committee member Lindy Li said about that shows what bad shape the Democrats are in right now.

“We were amazed by how self-congratulatory the tone was … I don’t recall anyone taking responsibility for the fact that we spent about $2 billion across the super PAC and the campaign and came up so significantly short. We lost seven swing states.”
Li said they praised Harris as a “visionary leader.”
“I believe at one moment during the call, she was talking about her Thanksgiving recipe. And I don’t say this with any malice or anything; I’m just merely conveying what happened. I think I was stunned to hear that, given just the extent and brutality of the loss and the fact that DNC staffers — at least two-thirds — have been fired summarily. And a lot of them are at a loss as to what to do.”
Because that’s what donors really want to hear when they’re deciding if they’re ever going to donate to you again — what your recipes are.
But hey, they dropped about $2 billion dollars on celebrities and all kinds of ridiculous things. That had to flip the donors out. And the DNC staffers shouldn’t be concerned about that when they’re getting fired, right? What does this say about the Kamala campaign and their priorities?
Was there any kind of reflection on why they lost or how they could improve in the future? Nope.
“I’m just, frankly, stunned that there was no sort of post-mortem or an analysis of how we can do better, what sort of lessons were learned. It was really just patting each other on the back, congratulating each other on I’m not sure what. And saying, ‘We’ll see you for Christmas.'”
That’s the problem right there, and you can see the same issue more in the full video of the grassroots call, the one that the Kamala clip was taken from. You hear from a Pennsylvania organizer, Tim Walz, and then Harris at about 5:25 in the video. The way she thanks Tim Walz may just be the fakest smile ever when she says they’re “lifelong friends.”
Kamala Harris and Tim Walz just called together all their supporters for a Zoom call.

It’s just one long ramble where they praise each other, and Harris pitches a group therapy word salad that doesn’t actually say anything. Bragging about raising more than a billion dollars but then wasting it and leaving your people twisting in the wind isn’t something to celebrate, and it’s an indicator of how bad she would have been if she had won. She said what they did was “unprecedented.” No kidding — no one has ever wasted that much money that fast and then lost so badly into the bargain.
