We’ve all seen, or at least seen portions of, Vice President and current Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ utter train wreck of a (scripted, pre-recorded, carefully planned, and still she screwed it up) interview with Philadelphia’s 6 ABC anchor Brian Taff. To call this a disaster was an unforgivable understatement; not even a carefully planned pre-recorded interview format could produce a win for the Queen of the Word Salad. What. A. Mess.

The result? A lot of media types and pundits are pointing out, correctly, that this is just one more indicator that Kamala Harris is unfit for office.

Social media users declared that Vice President Kamala Harris’ first solo sit-down interview this week proved that she does not have what it takes to assume the office of the presidency.

Harris’ interview with Philadelphia’s 6 ABC anchor Brian Taff went viral on social media Friday as it featured her giving answers that were criticized as being overlong and devoid of substance about her actual economic policies.

Is anyone surprised by this? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Kamala Harris has never given any answer of substance about anything, ever. Kamala Harris isn’t well-informed, she isn’t articulate, and honestly, she isn’t very bright.

It didn’t take long for the social media backlash to materialize.

Harris’ critics on X claimed that the conversation proved her unfitness for office. “Oh my goodness this is an absolute train wreck,” digital strategist Greg Price wrote about the interview on the social media platform.

Greg Price wasn’t the last X user to pile on. That’s also not surprising; if collecting train wrecks was a thing, Kamala Harris would be a collectors’ delight.

Here’s the real zinger:

Ay, there’s the rub. We all saw (to our delight) how easily Tulsi Gabbard – who is now campaigning for Donald Trump – eviscerated Kamala Harris in the 2020 cycle’s first Democratic primary debate. Tulsi metaphorically ripped Kamala a new you-know-what and kept her cool while doing it. Kamala dropped out of that race before a single Democratic primary vote was cast, and that’s how primaries are supposed to work. Primaries are meant to weed out the knuckleheads, mendicants, lightweights, dullards, and nincompoops to make sure the best candidate advances – and yes, Joe Biden was the best they had to put forward in 2020, which speaks volumes about the state of today’s Democratic Party.

But this year? Let’s be honest about this much at least, Kamala Harris was selected to be Joe Biden’s running mate not because she could bring a swing state with her, not because she had some body of experience that befuddled old Joe lacked, and not because she was a worthy partner to a proposed Biden presidency. She was selected because she had the right combination of plumbing and melanin content, and it’s not at all unlikely that another reason was that she was Joe Biden’s best life insurance policy.

Now, in 2024, there was no such vetting process. Kamala Harris was anointed, not elected, not chosen by Democrat primary voters, and now the result is as we saw on the air when Brian Taff tried in vain to get Kamala Harris to give a coherent answer, only to have her keep endlessly describing how she grew up in the “middle class,” as though the daughter of a Stanford University (Marxist) professor and a biomedical researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory could be described as “middle class.”

Kamala Harris and her husband, by the way, currently have a net worth of roughly $8 million. That’s not middle class, either.

All that, and incompetence and incoherence to boot.

At least we know one thing for certain: Kamala Harris isn’t the first jerk to try to sell us a bill of goods about their background.
