Harcourts Batemans Bay is set to host its second annual Charity Golf Day, with all proceeds benefiting Camp Quality.

The Announcement:

Harcourts Batemans Bay is preparing for its second annual Charity Golf Day, with all proceeds going to support Camp Quality.

The event will take place on Friday 30th August at the Catalina Club, starting at 10:00 am with a 4-person Ambrose format and a shotgun start.

Camp Quality, the chosen charity for this year’s event, has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for children facing cancer in Australia for 40 years.

The inspiration for this charity event stems from the devastating bush fires of 2019, when Harcourts Batemans Bay donated a percentage of their sales and rental commissions to WIRES and the Surf Beach RFS.

Director Dene Lewthwaite, having experienced the trauma of the Canberra fires in 2003, felt compelled to create an event that not only raises funds but also strengthens community bonds.

“We wanted to do something unique and impactful, something that no other real estate agency is doing,” Mr Lewthwaite said.

“Our goal is to make this the largest charity golf day in the region, bringing businesses together in support of a great cause.”

The event aims to foster local business connections, raise substantial funds for Camp Quality, and improve everyone’s golf game.

Harcourts NSW/ACT has stepped up as a hole sponsor with a contribution of $1,250, and participants can donate through the official fundraising page or by contributing items for prizes and raffles.

Bendigo Bank have sponsored a $2,000 bank account for a hole-in-one.

Notable corporate partners such as Bendigo Bank Community Bank Canberra and Regions – Batemans Bay, Coastal Auto Group, and Batemans Bay Holiday Rentals have come on board as sponsors.

Special guests include Deborah Thomas, CEO of Camp Quality, and Katrina Tarrant, CEO of Harcourts NSW/ACT, who will be present to witness the community’s generosity firsthand.

The day will also feature a BBQ run by WIRES, offering bacon and egg rolls for breakfast and a sausage sizzle throughout the day, with all proceeds going directly to WIRES.

As the date approaches, organizers are actively seeking more sponsorships and donations, with just 3 weeks to go.
