As the left continues its theatrical meltdown over all things President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, DOGE, and virtually everything else about Trump 2.0, Fox News superstar Greg Gutfeld on Wednesday posted a simple yet brilliant description to X (formerly Twitter) of how the Democrat Party and its media lapdog partners continue their efforts to mislead (lie to) the American people.
Gutfeld springboarded off an ABC News — who else? — article about Trump’s continuing deportation of illegal aliens, of which both the president and his “border czar” Tom Homan have said, multiple times, they’re targeting the “the worst of the worst.” Yet ABC, being ABC, managed to spin the deportations into a story about anxiety-ridden legal immigrant parents fearing for their kids in school. No, really.
Here’s ABC:
President Donald Trump’s immigration policies already are affecting schools across the country, as officials find themselves responding to rising anxiety among parents and their children, including those who are here legally.
No words.

While I appreciate the lying effort to conflate legal immigrants with illegal aliens, the Trump administration has been more than clear about which aliens the deportation order applies to and which it doesn’t.
So, as I said in my headline, Gutfeld nailed the process used by the left to mislead the American people.
step one: foment anxiety.
step two: report on the anxiety.
step three: pretend you didn’t cause the anxiety
step four: wonder why everyone hates the media
Precisely.

I’d suggest the four-step process Gutfeld laid out was not dissimilar to the teachings of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin, but that would be hyperbolic, right? Of course it wouldn’t; it’s spot-on.
Anyway, while Gutfeld’s steps 1-3 have been used by despotic and totalitarian regimes throughout history, step four is almost humorous in respect to what we see from today’s media and the Democrat Party as well.
From cognitively vacant President Joe Biden to hollow-suit fraud Vice President Kamala Harris to the halls of Congress, Democrats have followed the process — and continue to do so — in a failed attempt to scare America into believing that President Donald Trump was (is) Hitler incarnate, a fascist, white supremacist, and every other scary ad hominem they could absurdly throw at him — to no avail, other than to further ensure Trump’s decisive beatdown of Harris in the November election.
And the best part of all is that they still don’t get it — which is Gutfeld’s step four — just like they remain clueless that the efforts of Elon Musk and DOGE are exactly part of what voters voted for in November.

Another perfect example that comes to mind is COVID-19.
The COVID Gnome™, Anthony Fauci, spent months lying to the American people while also lying to Congress about everything from the origin of the virus to the efficacy of lockdowns, “social-distancing, masks, and last but certainly not least, non-vaccine (by definition) COVID ‘vaccines.'”
And now? A strong majority of the American people believe virtually nothing the government says about infectious diseases, pharmaceuticals, and preventative healthcare. Who knew?
The Bottom Line
The more the left cries “wolf!”, the less the American people take them seriously. And the best part of all is the lapdog media remains clueless to the reality that faces them — every bit of which is due to their continuing nonsense.
