So let it be written, so let it be done.
Or in the case of President-elect Donald Trump, so let it be said — innumerable times — so let it be done.
Over the last four years, as Trump battled multiple cases of lawfare, the Department of Justice and its despicable secretary, Merrick Garland, and of course FBI Director Christopher Wray, among other Biden administration officials — all of whom were hellbent on destroying Trump’s chances of again becoming president — the 45th and soon-to-be 47th president vowed, in effect, to one day settle the score.
That “one day” came for Wray on Wednesday.
The embattled FBI director announced he will resign from his post at the end of the Biden administration in January. He made the announcement during a town hall with FBI employees.

Christopher Wray Preparing Resignation As FBI Director
Trump told Fox News Digital that Wray’s resignation is a “great day for America.”
The resignation of Christopher Wray is a great day for America as it will end the weaponization of what has become known as the United States Department of Injustice. I just don’t know what happened to him.
Trump also said that his administration “will now restore the rule of law for all Americans,” before taking another well-deserved shot at Wray:
Under the leadership of Christopher Wray, the FBI illegally raided my home, without cause, worked diligently on illegally impeaching and indicting me, and has done everything else to interfere with the success and future of America. They have used their vast powers to threaten and destroy many innocent Americans, some of which will never be able to recover from what has been done to them.
The president-elect also fired up his Truth Social account and wrote a lengthy post about Wray, the Justice Department, and House Democrats “illegally” impeaching him:
The resignation of Christopher Wray is a great day for America as it will end the Weaponization of what has become known as the United States Department of Injustice. I just don’t know what happened to him. We will now restore the Rule of Law for all Americans.
Trump also wrote glowingly about Kash Patel, his pick to succeed Wray.
Kash Patel is the most qualified Nominee to lead the FBI in the Agency’s History, and is committed to helping ensure that Law, Order, and Justice will be brought back to our Country again, and soon. As everyone knows, I have great respect for the rank-and-file of the FBI, and they have great respect for me.
They want to see these changes every bit as much as I do but, more importantly, the American People are demanding a strong, but fair, System of Justice.
“We want our FBI back, and that will now happen,” Trump wrote, as he ended his post, adding: “I look forward to Kash Patel’s confirmation, so that the process of Making the FBI Great Again can begin. Thank you!”
On behalf of at least myself, thank you to President-elect Trump for choosing Kash Patel to head the FBI.
Period.
