Gina Kirschenheiter will kick off 2025 by celebrating a major milestone.
“January marks three 3 years for me not drinking,” The Real Housewives of Orange County star, 40, wrote in a Sunday, December 29, Instagram video message. “People are always asking what I did to look so good. I don’t talk about it much but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.”
Looking to share “something for anyone who’s ‘sober curious,’” Kirschenheiter showed off her sobriety body transformation by sharing several photos from before and after she stopped drinking. “2025 seems like a great time to effect positive change ❤️,” her message concluded.
Kirschenheiter smiled for the camera in both her before and after photos. In addition to transforming her body during her sobriety journey, the Bravo star also notably ditched her long, blonde locks for a stylish bob.
In the post’s caption, she added: “If you’re thinking about it … do it … #itsamazing on this side ❤️.” She reshared the clip via her Instagram Story and wished fans a “Happy new year.”
Kirschenheiter received love from fans and her fellow celebrities in the comments, with her RHOC costar Emily Simpson writing, “Glowing and growing 🙌❤️ proud of you xo.”
Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay commented, “Hell ya girl! So proud of you! You’ve never looked better! 😍,” while Bachelor Nation’s Susie Evans wrote, “This is amazing. I literally couldn’t stop staring at your gorgeous skin and face during our interview! You were always beautiful but wow you are glowing these days!!”
Kirschenheiter exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about her upcoming sobriety milestone last month. “Honestly, the biggest tip and trick and lifestyle change for me is coming up on three years sober, three years not drinking,” she shared at Simpson’s RHOC reunion watch party on November 14. “That is the most incredible change and shift and edit I’ve ever made to my life. I fully recommend it to everyone.”
The TV personality noted that she “feels good” about her decision to quit drinking and said that lots of “positivity” has come into her life since she decided to go sober. “I would love to share that with other people and just say, ‘Look, if you’re thinking about stopping drinking, do it. It will literally change your life for the better in every way,’” she said.
Kirschenheiter, who first announced that she stopped drinking in 2021, continued: “Turns out when you stop poisoning yourself, good things happen. Honestly, the biggest thing that it did was it made me have to deal with some of the stuff that I think I was avoiding. Then it was just the pure toxicity of what I was putting into my body that was a huge edit shift, and then processing out all that trauma that I was trying to avoid. The combination of the two things has just been life-changing for me.”
In another Instagram post earlier this month, Kirschenheiter shared her list of “things I have learned” over the past year. “Everything happens for a reason. Life is for living. Consistency will make you win. Time heals,” she wrote over clips of herself, her boyfriend, Travis Mullen, and the couple’s kids. “Thank you 2024!!!” (Kirschenheiter and Mullen each share three children with their respective exes.)
